Our 'Seven Super Athletes' who competed on 21/05/18, representing Scoil Mhuire. The Field Events Day at Santry includes: Hurdles Long jump Shot Put 600m The girls didn't have much time to train for their specific events but they did amazing!  All of our hurdlers got through to the final and our first medal was won in the 600m!! 😃 Check out the photos from this day below: Hurdles U10 U11 U13/14 Long jump Sprint and jump! Shot Put Concentrate, focus on form, throw! 600m The 600m is the toughest race.  It's one lap and a half of the track at a very fast pace. You must be strong both mentally and physically for this race. Not only must you battle for your place on the track on the inside lane - you must also sprint at the end of this race. The last 100m of this race is a fight against your mind and body to push through to the finish line.   Successful 600m runners are very determined and focused. T
